A stereotype regarding the driving skills of men and women has long been ingrained in people's minds: the idea that men drive well while women drive terribly. But is this actually the case in 2021? We decided to gauge public opinion by surveying SHARK Taxi passengers. The results were truly surprising.
To start, 75% of respondents acknowledged the prevailing view that men are generally considered better drivers than women. However, 62% of that group expressed a different personal opinion, stating that men and women are equally skilled behind the wheel.
Furthermore, we asked the audience: "Does it make a difference whether your driver is a man or a woman?" The answer shattered the stereotype: users are convinced there is no significant difference between male and female drivers.
These findings are supported by the facts. It is widely known that in the taxi industry There is a 5-star driver rating system that allows passengers to clearly express their opinion on the service they received. Interestingly, the average rating for female drivers is 4.9 stars. And what about the men? Also 4.9 stars. This detailed data, based on objective customer feedback, convincingly demonstrates equality among SHARK Taxi drivers.
These compelling facts speak for themselves: both men and women are equally capable of providing a safe, fast, and comfortable ride. Survey participants also weighed in on this topic. 90% believe that the best driver is one who ensures passenger safety. Meanwhile, 15% stated that driving fast is not necessarily an indicator of experience or high-level driving skills.
When asked if a driver's gender was a deciding factor, 86% answered "No." For these customers, gender doesn't matter; what counts is that the driver demonstrates professionalism and ensures the passenger feels comfortable and safe. However, it is worth noting that 7% of respondents would actually prefer a female driver.
