Two passengers carrying backpacks need a different amount of space from two passengers travelling with large suitcases. When booking a taxi with luggage in Kyiv, describe your bags before a car is assigned. Measurements give the driver something practical to assess; saying that you have "not much luggage" leaves room for misunderstanding.
Start with the number of people travelling. Then list suitcases, soft bags, boxes and any pushchair separately. Measure the largest item including its wheels and handles, because those external dimensions matter when loading it.
For example, "two adults, two 75 × 50 × 30 cm suitcases and a folded pushchair" is a useful description. It is not a promise that these items will fit every boot. Their shape, the boot opening and the seats needed by passengers all affect the available space.
If a regular boot may be too small, discuss an estate car or minivan. A vehicle category does not specify the usable luggage space on its own: the actual model and seating arrangement matter. Do not count on folding the rear seats if passengers need to sit there.

Put small loose items into bags, close your suitcases and keep your phone and documents with you. Agree on a place where the vehicle can stop for loading. At a station or shopping centre, name a particular entrance instead of relying only on the building's street address.
If you are catching a train, allow time to carry and load your luggage as well as for the journey itself. Prepare the bags before the vehicle arrives so that you can focus on meeting the driver.
